The World Interfaith Harmony Breakfasts (also known as the World Interfaith Harmony Week Breakfasts) are annual meals with shared spiritual times on or near the Thursday of the World Interfaith Harmony Week -- the first week in February. The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed these seven days to be an time of focused interfaith activities.

DATE on or about: FEBRUARY 2, 2012 (Anytime between February 1 and 7)
World Theme: "We are all connected by compassion."

All people of the world are invited to host public breakfast meals (or lunches or dinners) at the national or community levels or private meals in individual homes. These events bring together those of different faiths or no faith path to share one meal on the same day around the world. Attendees at every event also share prayers, meditations, chants, intentions or music from different spiritual traditions. This spirituality is focused on a common concern at the world, the national and the local levels. The goal of this breakfast program is recognize and to create greater understanding and cooperation between those practicing the many different forms of human faith around the world.

This program is organized and facilitated by many individuals and organizations around the world at each of the different levels and co-ordinated through this website. There is no fee to participate though community events may attendees to pay for the meal and shared costs. This is a populist movement for all people of all faiths.
